How honored I am to be included in this tribute to a wonderful man. The memory of the day Tom allowed me to tag along with his family camping (I'm the crazy young girl next to Leah) is one of my most cherished moments in my life. I clearly remember how included he made me feel even though I was the only non-family member. We had such a great time with laughter and fun being the recipe Tom created. Tom's character and warmth touched so many lives. He will surely be missed my many. A special note to Tom in heaven: Thanks for being YOU and Thanks for putting on a brave face for me in the hospital and sharing your precious time and stories with me even though I know you were in pain. You were so courageous! I hope I make it to heaven so I can see you again one day. Love, Kelly
What a moving and lovely tribute to a man who was so obviously a strong presence in your family. When we lose someone we love, it's like losing multiple people: father, husband, brother, friend. Tom is leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, character, and strong morals. The best way to honor him is to live your lives similarly. My heart goes out to your family; thank you for including me in this tribute to a man I didn't know but was pulling for every second of his battle. Love to you all, Jenna-lee Garrett
Tom showed a much younger me that there was plenty that could be achieved without formal schooling. I was so impressed when I met him with his sparkling intellect and voracious pursuit of knowledge. I will always remember him for those things first. Jayme
The moment Tom and I met, we became instant friends. It's not often you meet a genuinely GOOD man but Tom Manry definately was one. I miss him greatly.
Tom was one of the sweetest men you could ever want to mee, his loving careing nature and had a smile always on his face...a kind word for everyone. I will alwys miss an remember the many times he drove his FORD into our driveway as I knew we had a friend that came to sit a spell ..I love you very much Tom and will never forget you. Jane Curight
The world is a much better place because Tommy Manry was here. His kindness and his love will be long remembered. I look forward to seeing Tommy in heaven one day. Sue Love
What a beautiful tribute. Tom will be missed by many, especially by his Tidewater Region AACA family. He was an integral part of the club over many years. We will miss his smile.
As the mother of one of your neighbors I was always welcomed to your backyard neighborhood parties. This summer Tom made one of my favorite (burnt hotdogs) which he always remembered to do for me. Went to the airport museum one day and guess who was my host there. Didn't know he was part of that wonderful place. He was so knowledgeable that we ran out of time before he got to finish all his stories.
